劇情簡介：TheAtticaprisonriotswereaseriesofviolentdisturbancesthatoccurredattheAtticaCorrectionalFacilityinNewYorkinSeptember1971.Theriotsweresparkedbylong-standinggrievancesoftheinmates,includingovercrowding,poorlivingconditions,andmistreatmentbyprisonstaff.Duringtheriots,severalinmatestookcontroloftheprisonandtookprisonstaffhostage.Negotiationsbetweentheinmatesandprisonofficialswereunsuccessful,andonSeptember13,1971,NewYorkStatePoliceandcorrectionalofficersstormedtheprisontoregaincontrol.Theoperationresultedinthedeathsof39people,including10correctionalofficersandcivilianemployees,and29inmates.Intheaftermathoftheriots,investigationswereconductedtodeterminethecauseoftheviolenceandholdthoseresponsibleaccountable.Aman,whowasaninmateatthetime,isaccusedofmurderingtwoofhisfellowinmatesduringtheriots.Thespecificdetailsoftheaccusationsandtheevidenceagainsthimwouldneedtobeprovidedtofurtherassessthesituation.
